I was fortunate enough to buy my Z1300 in an immaculate condition ( just needed to add a few accessories etc )...I'm learning more from this thread than any bike manual could ever explain ! ( so thanks for that ).

top stuff kwak my Z900A4 resto was worse then yours, but the end result was worth all the hard yakka, you'll be a happy vegemite at the end of it when your cruising down the road.

i used Simoniz tough satin black. gives a lovely finish, worked ok on my vmax, will see how it fairs on the 1300
