Boxes full of rusty parts

May need help with electrical updates don't trust or like the look of any of the electrical parts
Other than the loom can you update coils and igniter on 81 A3 with pick ups on side of engine and larger type igniter box

No you can't change the ignition on the 81 without either using an earlier cylinder block to run the 79-80 ignition, or the using different engine cases to run the 82 and later ignition. Kawasaki changed the castings for the engine when they changed the ignition. Its more involved than just that, there are some internal engine parts that have to be changed as well.

You have to make the stock ignition work. You can use new coils, there a couple of options with the proper resistance, but if you use the wrong coil it can damage the igniter.
