Metric Hardware

In my case, finding metric hardware and components in the local stores is hit or miss.

I use McMaster Carr in my line of work quite a bit, and thought I'd share the link in case it can help out others.

I never checked if they ship world wide or not, but figure the big side of the pond may not have the same problem of sourcing bits.

I hope this may be of help in whatever project you have going on.

Oh, by the way, the carry imperial items as well. No HD logo stuff tho. :woohoo:

I tried inserting the links and they didn't appear to work, so I pasted the address below the links in the formatting to see if that works.

Hi Metric,

McMaster Carr has unseated Grainger, around here, as the best complete source for all sorts of materials, BY FAR! I have placed many orders around 4:00 PM and had the parts delivered by 10:30 AM the NEXT morning. The prices are way more reasonable to boot.

Things I've purchased from McMaster Carr:

Gears
Metal
Tubing, square and round
UHMW polyethylene in blocks and sheets
drive chains and sprockets (not motorcycle)

I do not believe there's an end to what they carry.

I get a lot of specials from Misumi also, but delivery isn't as fast.

I have a great source for one off parts but CAD files are required.
